Our Wind business unit receives 75 percent of Vattenfall’s investments in new assets and research and development is a key priority – not only in relation to specific projects, but also to ensure the technology for future wind farms. Vattenfall Offshore Wind applies a full lifecycle and portfolio view to harvest synergies across a growing portfolio of offshore windfarms and to support and engage in the whole value chain – from the early phases of project development through detailed design, manufacturing, installation, operation and maintenance and finally decommissioning.
The Engineering Division of Vattenfall Offshore Wind provides the knowledge and competencies across a range of engineering disciplines such as metocean and loads, geoscience, structural and mechanical engineering, hydrodynamics, high and low voltage electrical engineering, WTG, SCADA and marine logistics.
The Engineering Division employs approximately 300 employees at five offices in Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands and the UK and promotes an international, innovative and energetic working environment.
